At Empathy Based School Innovations, we advocate for student’s educational rights. We support 504 development, individualized education plan (IEP) team membership or advocacy, disciplinary conversations or behavior plans. We support college applications and or career training. We provide parents with the support they need to locate, determine and use and the best resources available to their children.

At Empathy Based School Innovations, we believe conflict is healthy, yet sometimes mediation is needed to support resolution. EBSE consultants support our clients with conflict resolution by working together to find peaceful solutions to build lasting and effective communication. We utilize restorative practices to resolve conflict and facilitate parties establishing a “new working normal.” We study the conflict to determine root causes to move participants forward with new rules or new norms.

Empathy Based School Innovations provides workshops rooted in emotional intelligence strategies to support positive parent/child relationships. We help families establish open lines of communication and provide them with skills needed to repair harm caused by unhealthy actions and reactions. We develop personalized family workshops for school and community based organizations based on their program needs. We believe new habits and new relationships can be formed using positive parenting and emotional intelligence skills. We teach our participants brain- based skills and practices to support their personal and community growth. We believe “change is a choice” and change can occur with positive impactful teaching and learning.

Designed for schools, community based organizations, or multi-generational workplaces, EBSE offers support in the development of positive learning spaces through the implementation of restorative justice and other practices. We teach our clients how to effectively implement conflict resolution skills to promote an equitable climate with a distribution of leadership and coaching matrices to maintain their restorative work.
